Since the fantastic anime “Jujutsu Kaisen” dropped in March of 2020, it has had a chokehold on the anime community. Walk into any store that sells pop culture merch and there’s no doubt you’ll catch a boatload of t-shirts, figurines, backpacks and the works all related to the show. Based on the 2018 manga, “Jujutsu Kaisen” has an abundance of lovable characters and a unique, gripping storyline, leading to it becoming one of the most hyped anime of the past decade.

In “Jujutsu Kaisen,” average civilians won’t find anything out of place in their daily surroundings. However, individuals who possess a certain level of what is known as “cursed energy” are able to see the spirits that constantly lurk beyond the mortal realm. These cursed spirits are manifestations of negative human emotions such as anger or grief, and take the shape of gruesome figures that seek to torment their makers. Thus, the Jujutsu Society was created to defend against these threats.

Enter Yuji Itadori: a humble high schooler who was living an average life—aside from shocking classmates with his athletic prowess—until he found himself caught up in the world of jujutsu sorcerers. In a dire situation, Yuji swallows an extremely cursed item, later revealed to be a finger belonging to Sukuna Ryomen, the “King of Curses.” Immediately following, Yuji is able to channel the immense power of said spirit, and becomes one of the only contenders that can put an end to his reign.

One of the most notable aspects of “Jujutsu Kaisen” is its wide range of characters, each of whom have a plethora of endearing qualities. There’s Yuji’s fearless eccentricity, Megumi Fushiguro’s dark and mysterious aura and Nobara Kugisaki’s searing wit and playfulness. And we can’t forget perhaps the most overpowered character, Yuji’s kooky mentor Satoru Gojo. The crossover of all these strong personalities creates an absolute powerhouse of skilled sorcerers that all cursed spirits should fear.

We all know anime tattoos are blowing up, and “Jujutsu Kaisen” is certainly not left out of the conversation. The show offers an overwhelming amount of distinct, colorful visuals that not only come to life on your skin but can instantly connect you with anime lovers out in the world. In the world of “Jujutsu Kaisen,” negative emotions turn into dastardly devils, but that doesn’t have to be the case for us—we can just simply get a tattoo instead. Enjoy these tattoos from the incredible anime!
