Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson became the latest member of the No Pain by Ganga tattoo club when he had his chest and stomach inked over the weekend. The stomach tattoo was all fresh, while the chest was a touchup of an already existing piece.
As you can see from the before pic posted on No Pain by Ganga’s Instagram page, Jackson’s chest tattoo definitely was in need of a little TLC.
Now the older tattoo looks fresh again, allowing it to blend in seamlessly with the brand new work on Jackson’s stomach, giving the entire front panel piece cohesion.
Seen in its entirety, Jackson’s tattoo is a clear sign of his dedication to both his family and his faith. With banners dedicated to his parents Felicia and Lamar Sr. dominating the upper section, and the family tree with names of his siblings and daughter on the lower section. In the center, this is all brought together by the biblical quote, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.” The Serenity Prayer is written out on the side of his stomach, adding another religious element to the piece. Jackson is famously media adverse, so he didn’t post a whole lot of detail about the tattoo and the meanings behind it.
After a season marred by injury, Jackson is looking to come back strong with the Ravens this year. Baltimore is expected to compete for the division title with Cincinnati and Jackson is considered to be one of the frontrunners for the MVP. We love to see that Jackson took one of his last remaining days of the offseason to get a ton of tattoo work done so that he can focus on the grind that is the NFL season.
