Interview with Iconic Black & Grey Artist Matteo Pasqualin

Matteo Pasqualin is a legendary  black and grey tattoo artist working out of Brembate, Italy, who has been tattooing since 1997!!

His work speaks for itself, but if I were to give my two cents on it I would say that Matteo is a master at creating work that is built to stand the test of time, a master at creating tattoos with very unique and unorthodox imagery,  a master at understanding the anatomy of tattooing on each body part, and so much more.

In this interview, I got the opportunity to talk with Matteo about topics such as his roots as a black and grey tattooing pioneer, his most bizarre experience with a client, one thing he wishes all his clients understood, and more.  Thanks for looking, hope you guys enjoy!

To begin, I just want to remind you that you are notorious for being one of the greatest black and gray tattoos of all time.  Some of the very best of the best will say that you are one of their very favorite artists, for instance David Vega.  Can you talk to me a little bit about how you achieve the results of such a beautiful healed tattoo?

Hello Jordan.  First of all thank you for the very nice description that you gave about me.

You asked about my healed tattoos. So, I can answer that the healing has always been one of my main topics.  I started on ’97 and without socials – your work could grow only by the feedback of someone being my client.  If the tattoo had a bad healing, it was for sure a bad feedback.  Moreover, I think that ensuring a good healing (more than a good picture….) would have to be the priority of every tattooist.

I know you’ve been tattooing multiple decades. If you could go back in time to when you first began, what three key pieces of advice would you give yourself that you know now?

To be honest, I would re-do it all just as I did but there is something that I do regret…I would have tried to focus more on the business side of tattooing, instead of being a ‘lonely wolf’….!  I meant that I would have to focus on building a team of tattooists under my wing, many years ago, when I was one of the few that was doing realism with good feedbacks.

What has been your most bizarre experience with a client so far?

It has been many years ago. A girl, I did her name on her wrist. In purple.  I told her that was not a good idea because the lines with color don’t heal so sharp. She insisted…! When she called me to tell me that the tattoo needed a retouch, I thought it was because she realized color was not good for lines like I had told her… But I was so shocked when I realized that it was because she tried to change the position of the tattoo, by stretching and pulling the skin the entire day after – thinking that it was possible to do, since it was a fresh tattoo……

The Internet is a wild place. What would you say have been some of the biggest changes you have noticed in the industry, whether positive or negative, since Instagram and other social sites blew up?

For sure we all have to say thanks to the net because it allowed us to develop our art around the wide world and not only around our town.  It also allowed for many tattooists of this new generation, to grow very fast.  But in the same way, it made many of us become lazy, with not so much imagination since when it’s possible to make a copy-paste tattoo….

 Biggest inspirations in the industry?

Biggest inspiration in the industry, I have it by consulting day by day with my big friend Thomas Carli Jarlier. For sure he’s my favorite tattoo artist. and I also have to say John Maxx has been and still is a tattooist that, at some point of my career, really totally changed all my points of how I go about tattooing. Since then, I really like the way I tattoo.

Can you list a couple of things that you really wish each of your clients understood that would save you both headache/frustration?

Yes! For sure it would be if they could listen to me when I write them: “Come by yourself and don’t arrive too early……”

They never do… I hate it!

What did your very first tattoo look like? Can you attach a photo of that, and also attach a photo of a tattoo you are most proud of?

I could not show my first tattoo because I covered. But i can show my 6th tattoo, that i did on myself, on my forearm.

The tattoo i am most proud of, is the tattoo that changed my life: the ‘London sleeve’ :

What type of thoughts are usually going through your head as you tattoo?

Normally when I tattoo, I usually let my clients watch movies. so I hear them and it’s like listening to an audiobook.

Three biggest mistakes you see tattoo artists making that might be very simple to fix?

1st mistake: putting exciting music on during the tattoo session. It makes the client last less. The client needs to be relaxed if you want to work upon his/her skin for many hours.

2nd mistake: To take too many breaks. Skin suffers more and concentration dies fast.

3rd mistake: (this is the most important ) – To think that the tattoo could be a good opportunity to make a cool picture/video that, once edited as well, could ride the media for good, making the actual tattoo intention less important than the picture of it. Nowadays, some tattooists are more interested in pleasing the followers, instead of pleasing the client…

Top three pieces of advice for the countless amount of tattoo artists hoping to get to the level you have reached?

Seems a stupid answer, I know. but it’s the truth: I wish to all of them to never being completely satisfied of what they did and always being curious to learn a better way to work. It’s the only way to never lose passion. and without passion, tattooing becomes only a boring job…

Thank you to anyone who took the time to read/look at this piece, please be sure to follow Matteo on Instagram @matteopasqualin.

Huge thank you to Matteo as well for taking his valuable time to do this.

Permanent Makeup Tattoo Lips, Eyebrow and Eyeliner

In an increasingly fast world, permanent makeup tattoo will be the solution for people who don’t have much time to dress up. When you see permanent makeup industry statistics, this is a product that is very popular today, especially celebrities.

Permanent Makeup Tattoo

Then, what to expect after permanent makeup, why they do all this? And what is the reason why they have to do that?

  • I worry that eyebrows are running low
  • Make up weak points like eyebrows and eye lines
  • I want to shorten my makeup time in the morning
  • Want to have confidence in a snapshot
  • I can’t make points for playing sports
  • I can’t always draw eyebrows in the same way

But is this just an alternative to reduce the use of make-up and the chemical content of the face area? We know that many stars use it. But in reality, what is permanent makeup tattoo really? Then, how much does it cost? And, are there risks associated with permanent makeup? This article will explain everything you need to know about permanent makeup information.

What Is Permanent Makeup Tattoo?

What Is Permanent Makeup Tattoo

Dr Crowell Beard is the first person to do a tattoo eyeliner procedure in the permanent makeup cosmetic tattooing. He is using this procedure to replace for lost eyelashes. He is an Oculoplastic Surgeon from the US. His first book is ‘Micropigmentation’ with the subject of permanent makeup cosmetic tattooing. And until now, Micropigmentation used as a term for permanent makeup tattoo. This textbook was written by Dr Zwerling, Christensen and Goldstein in 1986.

Permanent makeup is a makeup technique with continuous effects. That will not be fading even though it is wet by water or sweat. Permanent makeup tattoo is also called a medical practice. Due it uses needles to insert pigments into the skin. So, permanent makeup is the same as tattooing your face. It makes it always look like makeup, even when you wake up in the morning. This technique works by inserting pigments into the first layer of the epidermis to highlight certain facial features.

Of course, this is not like an ordinary tattoo, and we want it to be as simple as possible. But, the effect must be quite natural and beautify person, even if it doesn’t change completely.

Some doctors do it, but they also beautician permanent makeup tattoo.

Permanent vs Semi-permanent Makeup

When it is said to be “permanent,” that is not entirely true: due to the pigment will eventually fade over time. It depends on the person’s skin type. So, the part of makeup tattoo on the face is healthy and have cell regeneration. Therefore some changes were made for all procedures with ranges ranging time from 3 to 5 years around.

With all these interventions, protect yourself as much as possible from the sun: exposure to a little sun is one of the factors in the longevity of permanent makeup tattoo.

Permanent Makeup Type

The following is a brief overview of various interventions in the world of permanent and semi-permanent makeup. Related costs and the risks I wrote it below.

Permanent Makeup Tattoo Eyebrows

Permanent Makeup Tattoo Eyebrows

A few days ago I tried asking in a cosmetic tattoo near me; how to do a permanent eyebrow procedure, and what have to be done? They said:

“The procedure lasts between 2 hours and 2 hours 30. Permanent eyebrows procedure work by a mechanical unit to implements the pigment under the skin. The effect of the pigment is uniform, resulting in the same effect as an eyebrow pencil. Ideally, the machine takes into account the thickness of the skin, and this varies from one person and another.”

What is the price to pay for the permanent eyebrow tattoo cost? The cost of this technique is around $ 550.

Microblading Eyebrow

Are eyebrows falling out after Microblading? The answer is no. It is a manual technique that is similar to calligraphy. So, the eyebrows will be drawn by a pen with sharp needles and natural pigments. This technique is the same as tattoos. But, the results are smoother and more natural than the permanent makeup tattoo technique.

Microblading is semi-permanent, meaning it will last between 6 and 18 months. The cosmetic tattoos eyebrows are suitable for men and women. What, for men? Two visits are needed to arrive at the final result; this must be between 4 to 6 weeks apart.

This type of service initially costs around $ 500 and then changes around $ 400 afterwards.

Eyeliner Permanent Makeup Tattoo

Eyeliner Permanent Makeup

The procedure of permanent eyeliner is same, insert pigment with the needle. Permanent eyeliner also called as tattoo mascara. But there are procedures to add eye shadow effects. Various pigment colours are available: from black to more neutral colours, such as brown, purple, grey, and even dark blue.

This time, the technique is not the same as tattoos because the eyelid skin is very fragile. The introduction of pigments is done manually, little by little. Here we are talking about millimetres.

This procedure takes between 2 and 3 hours and costs around $ 425 for one line eyeliner. For shadow effects, the price is almost the same.

It’s impossible to do this technique if you use eyelash extensions, but you can always ask later.

Lipstick Permanent Makeup Tattoo

Permanent Tattoo Lips

In the case of permanent lip makeup, we talk more about effects similar to gloss the lips itself. The pigment is chosen to be closer to the skin.

This technique work in two steps: trace the contours of the lips and fill them. During browsing, it is also possible to redesign the lips, for example, to enlarge or straighten angles.

Permanent lip makeup gives poor results to naturally dark skin. In this case, it’s better to choose very bright pigments so that your permanent makeup tattoo appears, resulting in a less natural effect.

This procedure can take 5 hours or even more, and costs around $ 1400.

Permanent makeup: addition of spots

The current trend is to get spots on your cheeks and nose.

This controversial treatment called “spots” costs around $ 250.

Someone can finally use the permanent makeup tattoo to get a strategically make mole or another type of treatment.

Risk for Lips

The most common problem with permanent lip makeup is the formation of sores or blisters. Red pigments are more likely to cause reactions to other fluids or even allergies.

Aesthetic reasons for permanent makeup tattoo

We can do it because we don’t like the shape of our eyebrows or lips and we want to fix it. One can do it because they are tired of repeating the same movements every day: to fill her eyebrows, draw the contours of her lips with a pencil, make a line eyeliner, etc.

Medical Reasons for Permanent Makeup Tattoo

Tattoo makeup permanent makeup is far from just aesthetic or superficial! There are medical indications for permanent makeup. You can use this for example to:

  • Cover scars
  • Fix facial skin imperfections (such as wine stains)
  • Can be used in cases of vitiligo, alopecia (loss of hair and eyebrows) or cleft palate

It’s also a practical technique for women who repeatedly react to cosmetics, who have problems with vision, motor skills or coordination that prevent them from wearing makeup, etc.

Permanent makeup is also a solution to draw nipples in the case of women who have undergone breast reconstruction surgery.

Permanent Makeup Tattoo Risk

If you choose quality and conscientious people, complications rarely occur.

But this is still a permanent makeup cosmetic tattooing and thinks about procedure. Once done, we cannot return, even though the results are not exactly as expected. It’s the same as tattoos.

Retouching is sometimes possible, but you can’t remove it quickly if you change your mind.

All Permanent Makeup Tattoo Techniques

There is always a risk of infection. Besides, the risk of “scarring” of the skin under the pigment is still possible. This risk depends on the type of surface and even the drug taken by the person. I do not recommend this permanent tattoo makeup if you are using Accutane (oral acne treatment). Moreover, you have consumed it in the previous six months.

Also, beauticians often use local anesthesia before the procedure, which increases the risk of severe reactions or infections.

Because her face is fragile then the application must be exact. A small error can make unfortunate consequences. In rare cases, anesthesia can flow to the eye and burn the cornea. Phew!

Choose the Right Person for Permanent Makeup Tattoo

The techniques of permanent and semi-permanent makeup are increasingly popular nowadays. This is not only a demand for fashion but a need to cover up our shortcomings. Of course, more and more beauty experts offer it. But that doesn’t mean that they are truly qualified to do so.

It’s not always a good idea to choose the lowest price. Be careful choosing practitioners in this field. Find people who truly have trusted experience to apply your makeup. You must see their certification and accreditation requirements in the practice of permanent makeup tattoo.

The ideal person must combine the talents of the surgeon and the artist. When you want to achieve good results; then they must have accuracy, agility, and creativity. But, if you are unsure of the beautician you have met, don’t hesitate to see someone else. Choosing the right person will listen to you and understand the permanent makeup tattoo you want!

Armband Tattoos Bangkok – All Day Tattoo

Armband tattoos have been a form of body art for centuries, and they remain popular today

These tattoos wrap around the upper arm, creating a bold, eye-catching design

There is a range of styles available, from simple and elegant to complex and intricate, and a variety of symbols, from tribal patterns to religious iconography

Whatever your preference, armband tattoos can make a bold statement or subtle expression of your personality

Armband tattoos have a rich history dating back to ancient cultures like the Celtic and Maori tribes, where tattoos were a form of cultural expression

The designs, patterns, and symbols were meaningful, representing specific beliefs or ideas

Armband tattoos, in particular, were used as a symbol of rank or status within the tribe, denoting the individual’s position or accomplishments

Some cultures also believed that armband tattoos could provide protection, acting as a talisman against evil spirits or other dangers

Today, armband tattoos have gained popularity among both men and women, with designs that cover a broad range of styles and themes

While tribal patterns and symbols continue to be a popular choice, contemporary designs featuring flowers, animals, and geometric shapes have become increasingly common

Even with the evolution of the art form, armband tattoos remain a meaningful and timeless expression of personal identity and cultural heritage

If you’re thinking about getting an armband tattoo, there are a few things to keep in mind

The most important thing is to decide on the style and design that you want

Armband tattoos can be simple or complex, with many different symbols and images to choose from

Some people prefer a specific style like tribal or Celtic, while others may prefer a modern or abstract design

There are countless examples of armband tattoos, ranging from simple designs to complex, intricate patterns

Here are a few examples of different types of armband tattoos:

  1. Tribal Armband: One of the most popular armband tattoos is the tribal design, featuring bold black lines and geometric shapes inspired by traditional tribal tattoos from different cultures around the world
  2. Celtic Knot Armband: Another popular choice is the Celtic knot armband, displaying intricate knotwork that symbolizes interconnectedness. These designs are often inspired by traditional Irish and Scottish art
  3. Floral Armband: For a more feminine touch, many people prefer a floral armband tattoo. Delicate flowers and vines wrap around the arm, creating a graceful and elegant look

  4. Geometric Armband: If you like a modern appearance, a geometric armband tattoo might suit you. These designs use bold, abstract shapes and patterns to create an eye-catching visual effect

  5. Religious Armband: A religious armband tattoo can be a powerful symbol of one’s faith. It may feature crosses, angels, or other religious imagery. When considering which design to choose, keep in mind that certain shapes or colors may have special significance in different religions or cultures

When selecting an armband tattoo, it is essential to take into account various aspects as it is a deeply personal choice. Consider the following factors to guide your decision-making process:

  1. Size: The size of your armband tattoo will depend on the design you choose, as well as the size of your arm. Some people prefer a small, subtle armband tattoo, while others prefer a larger, more elaborate design that wraps around the entire arm.
  2. Color: Armband tattoos can be done in black ink only, or they can incorporate a range of colors to create a more vibrant and eye-catching design. The color you choose will depend on your personal style and the overall look you want to achieve.
  3. Placement: While armband tattoos are typically located on the upper arm, the exact placement can vary depending on your preference and the design of the tattoo. You may want to consider how the tattoo will look in relation to other tattoos or scars you may have on your arm, as well as how visible it will be in everyday life.
  4. Shape: When it comes to armband tattoos, the appearance may not be perfect due to the natural asymmetry of the human body. The arm’s curvature can cause the tattoo design to stretch or distort, affecting the tattoo’s overall look. Moreover, some areas on the arm can be harder to tattoo, and sensitivity levels can vary, which can also affect the quality of the tattoo.

To avoid these problems, it is crucial to choose a professional tattoo artist with experience in armband tattoos

They can work with the natural shape and contours of your arm to create a visually appealing tattoo that lasts

225+ Magical Witch Tattoo Ideas (2023)

Witch tattoos have become increasingly popular in recent years as more and more people embrace the mystical and supernatural.

Tattoos related to witchcraft offer a unique method to express one’s interest in the occult and celebrate the power of the divine feminine.

But witch tattoos are not just for those who practice witchcraft or paganism. They can also be a powerful symbol of individuality, strength, and rebellion.

Witch Tattoos Meanings and Symbolisms

Witch tattoos are meaningful for many people, as they represent black magic, voodoo, and evil. In the past, witches were seen as powerful goddesses who could control nature and cast spells to help or harm people.

Today, witch tattoos are a way of showing one’s connection with witchcraft and magic. Depending on the design chosen, a witch tattoo can symbolize different things such as protection, luck, freedom, or knowledge.

For example, some may choose to get a black cat tattooed on them – this is often thought to bring good luck because black cats have long been symbols of mystery and superstition. Other designs could include magical symbols like pentagrams or moons which symbolize protection and wisdom. A person may also opt to get a witch’s hat tattooed on them, which can symbolize power and freedom.

Overall, there are many symbolic witch tattoos to choose from. Each one carries its special meaning that speaks to the individual’s connection with witchcraft and magic.

Witch tattoos can be used to ward off evil luck, or to call upon spiritual forces for guidance and strength. Witch tattoos may also represent the cycle of life, death, and rebirth.

They invoke mystery and curiosity, making them a popular choice among those who embrace the occult. Some common images include cauldrons, pentacles, moons, stars, animals such as cats or owls, plants like herbs and flowers, tools such as wands and brooms, and alchemical symbols of transformation like spirals and crosses.

Witch Tattoo Ideas

There are 1000s of witch tattoos that one can try but we think these designs will suit just anybody:

1. Witch Hat: The simple black outline of a witch’s hat has been popular for centuries (as evident from old books) and looks great as a standalone tattoo or combined with other elements like stars, moons, and pentacles.

2. Spellbook: Ancient spell books are full of secrets and powerful magic – illustrating one in ink on your skin can be a powerful reminder of all that you know and contain within yourself. This design works well alone or with accompanying symbols like cauldrons, candles, and crystal balls.

3. Broomstick: This traditional element of witchcraft is closely associated with flight, freedom, and the power of your intent. Representing a broomstick in tattoo form can be an empowering reminder that you are always in control of where you want to go – metaphysically and literally.

4. Witchy Woman: An original design combining a woman’s silhouette with witch-inspired elements like hats, cauldrons, and stars is sure to draw attention for its unique creativity. You could even add in small details like animals or landscapes to personalize it further.

5. Celestial Symbols: Many symbols associated with witchcraft have a celestial origin, such as the moon and stars which represent mystery, intuition, and the unknown. Whether you opt for subtle representations like constellations or more elaborate designs with crescents and pentacles, this design will always remind you to keep an open mind and trust your inner voice.

6. Mandragora: This legendary plant is believed to have magical powers that can be used for healing or divination. It has a long history in folklore and literature, making it a popular choice for tattoos that combine beauty and mystery. You could also include other elements like potion bottles or animal familiars to create an even more unique design.

7. Spell Scrolls: Spells are the foundation of witchcraft, so why not commemorate them in ink form? Creating a scroll with enchanting words or symbols inscribed upon it makes for a beautiful tattoo – plus you get to choose what’s written on it.

8. Moon Phases: The phases of the moon have been a source of fascination and curiosity for centuries. Representing them as a tattoo is an excellent way to remind yourself to be in tune with the natural cycles of life and embrace change. You could even add other elements like stars, clouds, or trees for a more detailed design.

9. Herbs & Plants: A variety of herbs and plants are used in witchcraft practices for healing, protection, or banishing negative energy. Depicting these powerful plants as tattoos can make you feel connected to their ancient magical properties while also looking stylish.

10. Tarot Cards: Tarot cards have long been used as a form of divination and self-exploration. Representing them as tattoos is a creative way to remind yourself of their power while also making a bold statement. You could either choose one card or several to create a complex design.

11. Eye of Horus: This ancient Egyptian symbol was believed to be a powerful form of protection against evil forces and it’s still popular today for its alleged magical powers. Depicting it as a tattoo will keep you feeling safe and secure, no matter what life throws your way.

12. Pentacle: The five-pointed star within a circle has been associated with Wicca, Paganism, and other occult practices for centuries. It can represent the four elements (earth, air, fire, and water) plus the fifth element – spirit. This tattoo design is a great reminder to stay connected to your spiritual side.

13. Black Cat: These animals have long been associated with witches and they are often used as familiars or as guardians of sacred places. Representing one in ink form looks beautiful while also having a deeper symbolic meaning.

14. Pentagram Tattoo: This five-pointed star has been utilized as a symbol in many different cultures throughout history and now it’s an increasingly popular tattoo design. It’s an incredible method to show off your connection with witchcraft and the spiritual world.

15. Crystal Ball Tattoo: The crystal ball is one of the best symbols of divination. As you might know that the act of divination is all about tapping into your inner wisdom and intuition. Therefore, a crystal ball tattoo can be a daily reminder to trust in yourself as well as in your abilities.

16. Horned God Tattoo: The horned god is a significant figure in many pagan religions, and he makes for an eye-catching tattoo design. Whether you opt for a traditional or modern take on this design, it’s sure to be a conversation starter.

Interview with Legendary Realism Tattooer Yomico Moreno

Yomico Moreno is a legendary tattoo artist working out of the world renowned Last Rites Gallery in New York City.

Yomico is a unicorn so to speak, as he vastly excels at both black and grey realism as well as color realism which is rare to find in this industry.

Yomico’s work is unorthodox, thought-provoking, built to last, and highly sought out by tattoo enthusiasts.

I got the opportunity to talk with him about things such as the future of tattooing, having a recognizable style, discipline as an artist, and more.  Thanks for looking, hope you guys enjoy.

Let’s start off with an important question. Where do you see the future of realism tattooing going? Have we reached the pinnacle or do you think the best is still yet to come? What type of evolution do you expect to see in this genre of tattooing?

Well here I will talk to you as someone who is living that evolution and who is also looking for it.  One of the factors where I have tried to focus my way of doing realism is in conceptualizing ideas. For many years we were very good at copying and pasting, but there’s a moment where you get tired, where it becomes boring to just copy a photograph.  Today we can see more surreal work, we conceptualize, we want to say something with the work, and I think that is what art is about – it’s transmitting something with the best possible technique. That’s where all this is going.

What three things (or people) were most beneficial towards your growth as an artist and as a tattooer?

If we talk about tattoo artists, without a doubt Robert Hernandez. He has been one of my greatest inspirations, I think he is one of the most complete artists that exists today.  Regarding plastic artists, Caravaggio always blew my mind.  It was important for me to understand how he interpreted his tragedies and his ideas in art. In terms of the visual and the surreal, Guillermo del Toro’s works in the cinema has taught me how darkness can be transformed into beauty.

How has working at Last Rites helped you further your craft and take things to the next level?

Paul has been one of the artists that since my beginnings, I have always admired.  I always say that he represents the Genesis of many things in the tattoo world, he is an artist that I respect and will admire forever and having had the opportunity to work in his studio helped me to focus a lot on large-scale compositions, to understand the human body and its anatomy and to focus on creating pieces that are part of the wearer.

Your tattooing style is very recognizable and memorable.  The imagery and concepts you create are very unorthodox and mesmerizing.  How did you manage to create your own style and begin to build your own legacy in tattooing?

Wow… Thanks for that, sometimes you can’t see things yourself or perceive them as they look from the outside. I think one of the important things as an artist is knowing how to identify where you want to go, what you want to say and how to achieve it.  I am personally moved by the context of the unknown. Maybe it’s because I am constantly posing questions in my head and studying the opinions of psychologists, filmmakers, visual artists and even musicians, trying to understand what moves us as human beings, life, death, what is before and after, the energy that makes us be here and the connection we have with the entire universe. I think all that has served to try to translate it into my pieces, in the end I think that every artist is projected in his works in some way or another.

What was the most difficult (but important) lesson you’ve had to learn since being a tattoo artist?

That one day we will not be able to continue giving 100% of ourselves and not because we would not want to, rather for a physical reason. The day will come when I will not be able to sit for 10 hours in a tattoo session, that my hands will become weaker, my back, and even my brain. I am already preparing myself for when that happens, that is why I try to give my everything with everything I do, to take all that I have and deliver it in this present moment, years pass… we always think that we will have the same energy, but with time you come to understand that it is not case.

There are tens of thousands of artists in the world hoping to accomplish what you have already done.  What are the three best pieces of advice you have for those individuals hoping to master their craft like you have?

The first thing is discipline, nothing is achieved in life without discipline,  this goes from ordering your workspace to ordering your ideas.

The second is to sit down and think about what you want to achieve, what is your goal. Many tattoo artists go every day to their studio and tattoo everything that comes in, they fulfill orders from the owner who needs to make money and in that time life is passing by, at this point you have to sit down and think about what kind of artist you want to be.  If you just want to be a tattooist okay, if that’s what makes you happy… But, if you want to become a tattoo artist, you have to set your goals and consider how to achieve them. It will not be easy, I promise you, but only discipline and perseverance will bring you closer to your goals.

The third is to work hard for it and sacrifice everything that you need to sacrifice, they always ask me why I tattoo so many hours, but if you think about it, the results of my work would not be the same if I’m working on a big project with a client and only dedicate 2 or 3 hours instead of 8 or 10 hours, it really makes a big difference. Last but not least, you need patience – nothing will be achieved from one day to the next, art is a utopia, full of uncertainties, it hits your ego and many times it’s frustrating and even with all that, no matter how hard you work, it will always be better to feel that you still have not made it, because that is precisely what makes you go on and on to be better, day by day and keep up with the times.

Thank you guys for reading, please be sure to follow Yomico on Instagram @yomicoart.

Thank you so much also to Yomico for your time my brother!

World Ethnic & Cultural Beauties

The female beauty ideal is a specific set of beauty standards regarding traits that are ingrained in women throughout their lives and from an early age to increase their perceived phys*ical attrac*tiveness. It is a phenomenon experienced by many women around the world, although traits change over time and vary by country and culture.

Feminine beauty ideals are largely based on hetero*normative beliefs, but they have a strong influence on women of all sex*ual orientations. Ideal female beauty traits include, but are not limited to: female body shape, facial features, skin tones, height, clothing style, hairstyle, and body weight. To emulate such desirable traits, women have chosen to undergo facial and body altering practices that vary in severity. Some of these practices include: plastic surgery, skin whitening, foot binding, neck rings, waxing, make-up, wig fitting, teeth lacquer, tanning, corsetry, etc.

With fairy tales, media, advertisements, fashion, and beauty-focused dolls like Barbie dolls playing a prominent role in women’s lives, the pressure to conform to the beauty ideal is mounting. feminine from an early age. Managing the pressure to conform to a certain definition of “beautiful” can have psychological effects on an individual, including depression, eating disorders, body dysmorphia, and low self-esteem that begin as early as adolescence and continue into adu*lthood.

Beauty – is a combination of phy*sical attra*ctiveness, personality, culture, and intelligence that you adore, appreciate, and respect !……………………………………………..

The media is one of the most powerful tools for girls and young women to learn and understand feminine beauty ideals. As the media develops, the way people view female beauty ideals changes, as does the way women view themselves. “The average teen gets about 180 minutes of media exposure a day and only about 10 minutes of parental interaction a day,” says Renee Hobbs, EdD, associate professor of communications at Temple University. In most advertisements, female models tend to have a homog*eneous appearance. “Today’s girls are inundated with [ultra-slim] ideals not only in the form of dolls, but also in comics, cartoons, television, and advertising along with all the associated merchandising.”: 290  In addition to this, what The feminine ideal of beauty in the mass media is manipulated by technology. Images of women can be manipulated virtually creating an ideal that is not only rare but also non-existent. The Encyclopedia of Gender in the Media states that “post-production techniques of airbrushing and computer-generated modifications ‘perfect’ the beauty myth by removing any blemish or blemish visible to the nak*ed eye.”Ads for products “such as diets, cosmetics, and exercise equipment [help] the media build a dream world of hope and high standards that incorporates the glorification of thinness and weight loss.”

With a focus on an ideal phy*sical appearance, the feminine beauty ideal distracts from female competition by prioritizing and valuing superficial characteristics related to beauty and appearance. When phy*sical beauty is idealized and featured in the media, it reduces women to sex*ualized objects. This creates the message through the media that one’s body is inadequate apart from sex*ual attra*ctiveness and connects the concepts of beauty and se*x.

Celebrities achieve perfection through photoshopped images that hide every blemish or flaw while editing body parts to create the ideal hourglass body type. The Dove Beauty & Confidence Report surveyed 10,500 women in 13 countries and found that women’s confidence in their body image is steadily declining, regardless of age or geographic location. Despite these findings, there is a strong desire to fight existing beauty ideals. In fact, 71% of women and 67% of girls want the media to do a better job of presenting different types of women. Studies conducted by Dove reveal that low self-esteem affects the ability of women and girls to unlock their true potential. 85% of women and 79% of girls admit they choose not to participate in important life activities when they don’t feel confident with their appearance. More than half of women (69%) and girls (65%) cite media and advertising pressure to become the world’s version of beauty as a driving force behind appearance anxiety . Studies conducted by Dove have also revealed the following statistics: “4% of women consider themselves beautiful, 11% of girls globally feel comfortable describing themselves as beautiful, 72% of girls feel pressure to be beautiful, 80% of women agree that every woman has something about her that is beautiful, but does not see her own beauty, and that 54% of women agree that when it comes to their appearance, they are their own worst beauty critic.”

An online space like Instagram that relies on interactions through images creates a focus on one’s phy*sical appe*arance. Based on evidence collected from a study focusing on general Instagram use among young women, researchers suggest that Instagram use was positively correlated with self-objectification among women. This same study also considered the effect of Instagram on the internalization of the Western beauty ideal for women, and the evidence collected in the study is consistent with the idea that Instagram use encourages women to internalize the social beauty ideal of western culture. Because users have the opportunity to shape and edit their photos before sharing them, they can force them to adhere to the beauty ideal. Viewing these carefully selected images shows the extent to which women internalize the Western ideal of beauty. In addition to investigating the effects of general Instagram usage, the study also investigated the effects of “fi” Instagram pages.
